On September 19-20, 2008 the II International scientifical-practical conference “Marketing of innovations and innovations in marketing” (MIIM 2008) took place in Sumy State University. The conference was organized by the Department of Marketing and Sumy Regional Center for intellectual development.
85 reports of scientists, persons working for doctor's degree, teachers, post-graduate students, marketing experts of Ukrainian enterprises and establishments have been presented at the conference. Scientists of the USA and Canada presented their materials in the conference. In total, 95 persons took part in the conference, 53 of them are nonresident.
Conference materials include developments of representatives of 22 higher educational institutions and scientific organizations (2 of them are foreign educational institutions):
Experts of 11 enterprises and establishments took part in the conference: Close Joint-Stock Company “Grain-trading company “Allseeds-Ukraine” (Kyiv); Open Joint-Stock Company “ERSTE-BANK”; Sumy youth public organization "Fund of Regional Initiatives"; Marketing Communications Agency "MART" (Kyiv); Open Joint-Stock Company “Sumykhimprom”; Private Firm “Turbomash”; Sumy social and economic development council; Legal Association "Capital Pravis" (Kyiv); Interregional share technologies centre (Sumy); Private Firm “Specobladnannya”; Private Firm “Promenergomash”.
11 doctors of sciences, 27 candidates of sciences, teachers, post-graduate students and 17 representatives of Ukrainian enterprises and establishments took part in the conference.
The following thematic directions have been discussed in the conference:
Among the most substantial and interesting reports of the academic and high school science representatives is necessary to note the following: “Marketing innovations synergetic effects” (doctor of economics, L. Melnik); “The basic problems of marketing of innovations and approaches to their solution” (doctor of economics S. Illiashenko), “The organization of marketing researches in the hi-tech goods markets” (J. Demkiv); “A quantitative method of an estimation the innovative production chances to success on a potential market segment” (PhD, S. Makhnusha); “Essence and classification of conflicts in distribution channels of innovative production” (PhD, O. Bilovodska).
The great interest was caused by reports of the experts, that light up the scientifically-applied aspects of marketing of innovations: “Effective information streams utilization as necessary attribute of innovative marketing" (J. Gladenko); “Rebrending features of the industrial enterprises” (N. Ivashova); “Problematical character of sample design in marketing researches” (PhD, M. Karpishchenko), “Strategic management of the industrial enterprise business portfolio on the basis of marketing” (PhD, O. Olefirenko).
The considerable attention has been given to questions of ecological innovations marketing. It is necessary to note the following reports: “Motivational features of ecological innovations marketing” (PhD, O. Prokopenko); "Demand formation for innovative power saving up technologies in heating supply sphere” (PhD, I. Sotnik, PhD N. Sotnik), “Ecological management and ecological marketing: national reaction to global calls of transformational economy” (doctor of economics, E. Hlobystov).
Did not remain without attention a question of intellectual capital use, activization and application of an information technology in marketing. It is necessary to note the following reports: “Innovative activity as the defining factor of globalization processes” (doctor of economics, A. Grinev ); “Express estimation of country innovative potential” (doctor of economics, P. Pererva), “An estimation of enterprise sales potential on the basis of sales volumes forecasting”, (T. Bashuk).
Representatives of the conference official partners have acted with enterprises (organizations) presentations, their achievements and problems analysis.
